Purpose of the role

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide credit management solutions including loan sale and credit insurance to support business requirements of MUFG Bank in APAC. It includes to carry out internal approval process of loan distribution and credit risk mitigation tools, and face credit insurance market (e.g. broker and insurer) as well as execute documentation and binding of credit insurance transactions. Also, this position requires to work closely with each branch across APAC, product offices, credit divisions, and other internal stakeholders, and supervise staffs who support the respective works

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement various CPM related initiatives and lead the team to set action plans and check progress to achieve goals.

  • Report and make recommendations to senior management regularly for new / updated process to continue to enhance efficiency and contribute to business.

  • Assess economic rationale and financial impact of credit risk mitigation tools including loan sale, funded / unfunded sub-participation, deposit pledge hedge scheme, and credit default swaps, etc.

  • Contribute to ROE enhancement in each country / product through credit solution tools.

  • Work closely with RMs, product teams, DCM, and credit teams to identify their credit risk mitigation needs, carry out internal approval processes, and implement transaction execution including documentation & binding and post-binding administration.

  • Face credit insurance market directly (e.g. broker and insurer) and negotiate insurance terms, and collect market intelligence to apply within the bank.

  • Lead communication to liaise with internal stakeholders to execute loan distribution.

  • Responsible for supervising direct reporting staffs and provide advice and guidance to contribute to the entire department.

  • Manage resources in the team and continuously enhance process and tool.

  • Provide various opportunities for individual development (coaching, career progression & training) for the staff with manager.

  • Maintain data of loan distribution list and relevant systems appropriately and update regularly.

  • Demonstrate leadership for the responsibility and span of control, which involves a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders.

  • Follow directions from manager and handle additional tasks

Job Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in corporate banking and at least 5 years of experience in credit management

  • At least 3 years of experience in handing corporate and structured banking products, including distribution and hedging of credit businesses

  • Regional experience to support business requirements of MUFG Bank in APAC

  • Experience in leading a team would be an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree qualified

  • Good communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders

  • Strong management skills, coaching, mentoring
