LEO Pharma Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator in Madison, New Jersey
Overall objective is the execution and oversight of the Accounts Payables (“AP”) process and assistance during the accounting month end close process. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of AP experience, with the added benefit of working in the Pharmaceutical industry and with an international financial services team. This individual should have analytical and communication skills, strong computer skills, be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Oversee entire accounts payable process for all US vendors
Preparation and processing of accounts payable invoices and payments ensuring that payments are timely and accurate
Generate, update and close purchase orders for approved purchase order requests
Match checks/payments with invoices
Address and resolves open issues with Financial Shared Service Center (“FSSC”) team located in Denmark
Maintain US vendor master record database and have it ready for future SAP implementation
Perform sorting and filing clerical duties and ensure filing is up to date
Answer inquiries from vendors and employees on status of purchase orders and/or payments
Prepare urgent payment requests as needed
Enforce company-wide adherence to Financial Approval Policy
Record accounts payable-related accruals during accounting month end close (including Espresso accrual and unprocessed invoice accrual)
Process new Espresso application forms, maintain active user listing and train users as necessary
Support Compliance team in relation to Aggregate Spend Reporting needs
Support Business Finance and Procurement teams in relation to Subcontracting Reporting needs
Coordinate 1099 annual reporting with FSSC team and US third-party
Perform annual business corporation filings including payment of annual dues
Perform accounts payable reconciliation to AP aging and general ledger
Respond to AP related requests with respect to internal and external audits
Additional duties as assigned by LEO Pharma Management
Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned by LEO Pharma within the required timeline.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent PC skills; proficiency in MS excel and MS word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel
5 years AP or equivalent experience in fast paced, high volume environment
SAP and SharePoint experience is a plus
Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail; excellent follow up skills
Plans and prioritizes work to ensure deadlines are met
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
