Robert Half Healthcare Claims Contracting Specialist in Libertyville, Illinois

Description

We are looking for an Insurance Verification Coordinator for our healthcare establishment located in Illinois. This position is 100% remote but does require the person to live in the state of Illinois. The primary role will be to handle oversight, management, coordination, and organization of payer contracting activities. You will be responsible for maintaining all company payer agreements, interpreting payer requirements and ensuring systematic implementation, and managing the payer contract process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee, manage, coordinate, and organize payor contracting activities.

• Maintain all company payer agreements, addendums, renewal terms, and required notification or due dates.

• Interpret all payer requirements and ensure systematic implementation.

• Manage the payer contract process and collaborate with various teams to ensure staff are informed of contracting status.

• Support sales growth by developing new contracts with payers and expanding contract coverage.

• Understand insurance policies and regulatory guidelines to implement systematic parameters to ensure compliance with payer-specific rules and requirements.

• Provide expertise and support to internal departments regarding specific payer guidelines and contractual inquiries.

• Identify profitability opportunities within assigned payers.

• Facilitate the payer contracting process and ensure accuracy of all contract documents from pre-contract through post-contract phases.

• Support the maintenance of a common provider directory/database for enrollment with payers.

• Assist with all contracting administration and projects as needed.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, EHR SYSTEM, McKesson.

• Knowledge of Authorizations, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Dental Benefits, DME - Durable Medical Equipment, Medicare.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

• Proficiency in Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, EHR SYSTEM, McKesson is required.

• Experience in insurance authorizations, benefit functions, billing functions, claim administration is essential.

• Knowledge of dental benefits, DME - Durable Medical Equipment, and Medicare is mandatory.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and team members.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical in this role.

• Must have a strong understanding of medical insurance policies and procedures.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Should possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in using healthcare software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
