Global Concepts Enterprise Quality Coordinator in Holland, Michigan

*Summary: *The Quality Coordinator follows basic quality techniques, including containments, inspections, audits, calibration, to track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products to ensure they meet the organization's quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following. * Other duties may be assigned.*

  • Examines processes and product for conformance to specifications.
  • Problem Solving approach and methodology.
  • Initiates and updates Quality Alerts as necessary.
  • Identifies "inspect/no inspect" status of received material.
  • Assist with product sorts when nonconforming product is received.
  • On-site inspections at Customer and Supplier.
  • Initiates nonconforming material reports when nonconforming material is detected.
  • Communicates final disposition on product and material.
  • Maintains inspection and test equipment.
  • Initiate, support and maintain FIFO status as necessary.
  • Quality support to the Assembly Department and disposition of rejected material.
  • Maintain Quality HOLD location.
  • 5S duties.
  • Regular and timely attendance is required.

  • Computer literacy is required (Excel, Microsoft Office).
  • Internal ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, customers and associates.
  • Experience with basic inspection equipment (calipers, gauge pins, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerance is preferred.
  • Blue print reading skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical thinking with problem solving approach.
  • Valid driver's license and hi-lo operator license is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately distinguish difference in colors per color standards.

*Education and/or Experience: *Understanding of ISO 9001 standards. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of Quality related work experience.

*Physical Demands: *The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds including bending, twisting and reaching.  Tedious work such as detailed visual or physical inspection for up to 4 hours at a time of standing may be required.  Sanding, grinding, and drilling with hand tools on plastic, steel and aluminum parts as necessary.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
