As the Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for the research and development of reagents and cell-based applications for the Sartorius iQue Screener and other bioanalytical platforms and providing biological support for flow cytometry instrument development.

The Senior Scientist role is primarily lab-based and will require hands-on laboratory work such as data acquisition and analysis of reagent kits and instrument functionality, performing specific application assays, and participating in software feature planning. The ideal candidate will have strong scientific and leadership skills and take a collaborative approach to working with fellow scientists as well as our engineering teams, quality control, product management, and external subject matter experts.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• You will independently perform scientific research to ensure products meet customer and business requirements; includes optimization and execution of experimental methods, data analysis, and reporting.

• One of your tasks will be to provide mentorship, assisting team members with design, analysis, and interpretation of experiments.

• You will engage in scholarship and scientific conference attendance to develop a deep understanding of Sartorius iQue technology and contribute intellectually to product development in the high throughput flow cytometry field, with a focus on immuno-oncology, antibody discovery and cell-based therapies.

• Your duties will include contributing to generation of internal and external customer-facing product documentation and application collateral.

• On an as needed basis, you will lead presentation of project progress and additional scientific content at internal and external meetings.

• You will directly engage with collaborators, suppliers, and customers to facilitate progress towards R&D goals.

• Operate under compliance with ISO-9001 and other company regulatory guidance.

• Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

  Education:

• You have completed a degree in cell biology, immunology or related field with:

• PhD with 2+ years of experience

• Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience

  Experience:

• You have expertise in flow cytometry and antibody-based assays is essential.

• You possess a minimum of 2+ years of product development or other industry experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with broad experience in cell-based assay development and execution, including sterile culture of established cell lines and primary cells, cell differentiation, cell imaging, protein capture bead, and/or other fluorescence-based readouts.
