About this role

We are seeking an engaged and collaborative member for our team to work closely with BlackRock’s Sustainable & Transition Solutions team, supporting delivery of innovative solutions by collaborating across functional teams and regions. The individual will have a good understanding of the local markets across client segments and of the sustainable investment landscape taking shape across Europe. He/she will support the client business in navigating and understanding the complex issues facing our clients in the fast-evolving area of sustainable investing.

The individual will work closely with the Sustainable & Transition Solutions (STS) team and regional leadership to support BlackRock’s business in the region including client dialogue, commercial proposals, and knowledge transfer to our client-facing teams, as well as representing BlackRock in select sustainability forums.

This role is on VP level.

Responsibilities :

Support and localize Blackrock Sustainable & Transition investing outreach in Netherlands and Nordics

Support the roll-out of BlackRock Sustainable & Transition solutions locally in a scalable and strategic way Support client business with client enquiries, RFPs, and developing sustainable content on key themes Further enhance knowledge sharing throughout local teams to be able to confidently represent the firm’s sustainable and transition investing approach

Support client dialogue on sustainability and leverage regional insights in business product development

Support identification of sustainability priorities in the region together with the regional heads of client business Contribute to development and growth of relationships with clients’ Heads of Sustainability to understand client needs and priorities and support them on their journey. Support in delivering key sustainable solutions for clients and ensure product localisation and innovation

Contribute to the firm’s engagement in the local sustainable investment ecosystem

Provide regional insights on sustainability regulations, reporting, climate and impact analytics, metrics and products. Understand client needs on sustainable approaches and cascade insights back to STS to inform sustainable and transition solutions strategy. Engage with the regional ecosystem such as industry associations and represent BlackRock at sustainable investing events.

Experience and skills:

• 8+ years of sustainability experience from financial services industry or ESG service provider firm, including sustainable investing strategies, ESG data, sustainability regulation and trends

• Very strong team player and collaborator with excellent communication skills, who enjoys developing client relationships

• Analytical and entrepreneurial attitude with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Financial markets experience preferred

• Fluent in Dutch and English, based in Amsterdam
